Hi I am Kellie, a holistic IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapist passionate about healing and enhancing well-being. I offer group-based experiences at Cove Wellness and I am currently leading an IFS meditation and sharing circle, a welcoming space to explore inner parts, cultivate self‑energy, and connect.
With IFS we work to understand and connect with the different “parts” of yourself that may be influencing your emotions and behaviors. These parts could be formed in response to past experiences or current stressors, and they often carry burdens that impact your well-being. Through IFS, we can create a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where you can develop a deeper relationship with these parts, allowing you to heal old wounds and reclaim your inner harmony. Many individuals who engage with IFS report that it feels uniquely intuitive and transformative, some describe IFS as the missing link to the ways we relate to and understand ourselves.
Using IFS in an open-hearted group setting can be especially powerful, as healing happens in relationship. Our wounds frequently stem from interactions with others and with society, and it’s through those same connections that healing can occur. When you join a compassionate, welcoming circle of individuals, you not only nurture greater self‑connection, but you also expand your capacity to connect deeply with others. Many participants discover that regularly meeting in such a heart‑centered environment strengthens both inner harmony and relational resilience.
We invite you to connect with us for additional details about our IFS circle. It would be our pleasure to welcome you into this enriching community.

My journey to becoming a therapist includes a combination of education, lived experience, and a winding path. I have always loved animals, nature, social issues, and reading, and knew I wanted an unconventional career that would allow me to help the planet, so I initially pursued the goal of becoming a professor in Environmental Studies. I obtained a BA and MA in Environmental Studies, an MA in Liberal Studies, and a PhD in Environmental Management, where I focused on Environmental Education, Ecopsychology, Biophilia, and Nature Connection. While in school, I also pursued a parallel career as a Yoga and Pilates instructor, which allowed me to explore connection through movement. On that part of my journey, I completed three Yoga instructor certifications, a Trauma-informed Yoga instructor certification, and a comprehensive Pilates instructor certification.
For several years, I taught movement throughout northern NJ, and Sustainability and Social Issues at a small NJ-based college. However, while in therapy for my own trauma, I was encouraged to pursue social work by my then therapist. She helped me realize I could apply my experience, knowledge, and passion in the field of social work as a nature-informed and body-focused trauma therapist. Shortly after, I returned to graduate school where I completed a Masters degree in Social Work. Today, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NJ. I have worked as an outpatient trauma therapist in the Boston area for three years, and previously worked with individuals experiencing homelessness in a community setting in northern NJ.
Choosing to start therapy is a big step, and can feel intimidating. I am here to help support you on your journey. Together we will discuss your goals, identify challenges, and create a plan. I look forward to meeting you and determining if we are a good fit.
